THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT SUSAN HALL
1. She wants to CANCEL Sadiq’s FREE SCHOOL MEALS initiative and would PUT UP TFL FARES
Susan Hall has said she would cancel Sadiq’s free school meals for all primary school children in London, which is saving families £500 per year per child. She has also come out against Sadiq’s TfL fares freeze. Sadiq has frozen TfL fares for five years and Susan Hall has opposed it every time. Transport fares would increase under Susan Hall at a time when Londoners can least afford it.
2. She SUPPORTED Liz Truss's catastrophic mini-budget & CAN’T BE TRUSTED WITH LONDON’S ECONOMY
She expressed her “deep joy” at the economically illiterate Tory plans which sent mortgages and rents sky high and cost the country £30 billion. She even thanked Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng for acting like a “proper Conservative government”. Her plans don't add up and would leave London with a £619 million black hole in its finances - with ordinary Londoners having to pick up the bill. The Tories have failed the country. Don’t let her do the same to London’s economy.
3. She will STOP COUNCIL HOME building in London
Susan Hall would bring in an anti-housing programme that would result in at least 12,000 fewer council homes in London.
4. She HATES LONDON’S DIVERSITY AND SAYS WE ARE BEING ‘INVADED’
She uses far-right, xenophobic and dehumanising language to describe refugees fleeing misery and persecution. She says that “the term invasion is correct” and “I absolutely support the Rwanda plan”. She described Suella Braverman as the “ideal Home Secretary” and has supported Nigel Farage.
5. She IS prejudiced AGAINST Black Londoners
At a public meeting at City Hall, the Tory candidate said: “Problems with crime within the Black community is something I have brought up constantly… the problem is, the minute we do we are accused of being racist.” She has come out against the Black Lives Matter movement, saying “please don’t ever mistake me for a BLM supporter” and has called for Notting Hill Carnival to be scrapped.
6. She would STOP vital POLICE REFORMS TO CLEAN UP THE MET
Susan Hall has refused to accept the Baroness Casey review, which found the Met to be institutionally racist. She has also said police misconduct against women was limited to a few 'bad'uns' and 'wrong'uns', which could be dealt with behind closed doors.
7. She is a CLIMATE CHANGE DENIER
Susan Hall is a proud anti-green candidate who takes a Trumpian approach to the climate crisis. She has promoted climate science denial online, backed the reintroduction of fracking, promised to reverse critical clean air polices, called for her own party’s net-zero target to be scrapped, and opposed every single green policy the Mayor has introduced in London.
8. She won't stand up for women or women’s rights
She proudly said that “I don’t think of myself as a feminist.” She also feels sorry for men who are trying to succeed, as things are “totally stacked against them.” Hall even described TV star Gemma Collins as a “stupid fat blonde woman”.
9. She supports Donald Trump AND HIS EFFORTS TO DIVIDE LONDON’S COMMUNITIES
Donald Trump said London was a no-go zone. He spent four years as President taking children away from their parents at the US-Mexico border and locking them in cages, banning Muslims from entering America and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. During the last US election, the Tory candidate tweeted “Come on Donald Trump – make sure you win”.
10. Most Londoners think her social media activity is RACIST
Susan Hall has liked tweets praising Enoch Powell, a former Conservative minister who has become a byword for racism after a notorious speech which warned that immigration would lead to “rivers of blood”. The tweet depicted Enoch Powell with the words: “It’s never too late to get London back,” a reference to London’s diverse population. Susan Hall has also promoted Islamophobic posts on Twitter, including those that use the word “Londonistan” – a term used to convey the notion that Muslims are taking over London. She’s also called for pro-Palestine marches to be banned.
11. She has promoted HOMOPHOBIC content online
Susan Hall promoted on social media a homophobic and transphobic image of a Pride flag shaped as a swastika.
